THE 8/16 THEORY OF BELLS!

How to start with the right weight to train with Kettlebells?

Very few understand that the usage of kettlebells is different and not similar like dumbbells, so the starting weight to the training is not same as dumbbells.Majority lifting with dumbbells is single plane static movements, which are primarily for muscle hypertrophy, whilst kettlebell lifting is used for conditioning which obviously supports hypertrophy.

So when you start with lifting with dumbbells we start with smaller weights like 1kg or 2kg for few reasons as below:

  • Creating path way and develop proprioception.
  • Smaller muscles of biceps, triceps, shoulders, or chest gets used to smaller weights and through adaption process, we can see increase in strength hence we increase the weight through overload theory.
